Cheap Flights To Accra - Whiff of Nostalgia Across North Norfolk

One of the things North Norfolk does particularly well is nostalgia.

Which will give you details of local attractions, you will pick this up very quickly especially if you take the time to browse through the rows of leaflets in many of the establishment, staying in any of the main North Norfolk hotels.

Norfolk is a dream, for steam railway enthusiasts.

Smells and noise of steam locomotion at a number of privately-run railways, a weekend break Norfolk can be devoted entirely to the sights.

Stopping at a number of stations along the way, runs steam hauled services throughout the year between the coastal town of Sheringham and the inland Georgian town of Holt, known locally as the Poppy Line, the North Norfolk Railway.

It is one of the marvellous sights of North Norfolk seeing a large black steam engine hauling carriages along the coast and turning inland towards Holt.

Don't forget to go down to the station and watch the trains coming and going before booking a ticket for a memorable ride along the line, with a number of North Norfolk hotels close to the rail centres.

There are also cafes and restaurants and great accommodation if you want to stay a little longer in the town and explore the area beyond by car or on foot. It has its own set of independent shops selling a whole range of gifts and produce and even its own department store. Sheringham is an interesting resort to explore for a few hours while Holt is a lovely market town where time appears to have stood still.

Wroxham is also a perfect stepping off point for the Norfolk Broads. This narrow gauge railway trundles through some lovely North scenery and is well placed for some Norfolk luxury Hotels. There is the Bure Valley Railway that runs between Aylsham and Wroxham, as well as the North Norfolk Railway.

Which runs out of Dereham and through rural central Norfolk to Wymondham and regular operates steam services at the weekends during the summer months, there is also the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway and further inland the Mid Norfolk railway.
